Safaricom’s M-PESA Sokoni tour rolls into Rift Valley to celebrate 18 years of service
Safaricom PLC has launched the second leg of its M-PESA Sokoni caravan in the Rift Valley region, marking 18 years since the mobile money service revolutionized financial inclusion in Kenya. Branded under the theme “Maisha Fiti, Biz Shwari,” the tour aims to celebrate customer loyalty, drive engagement, and showcase the transformative impact of M-PESA across the country. The caravan, which kicked off in June in the Coast region, made its Rift Valley debut in Turbo Market, Uasin Gishu County, where it was officially launched in partnership with Royal Media Services.The tour is leveraging the influence of RMS’s regional radio powerhouses—Radio Citizen and Chamgei FM—to mobilize communities and spread awareness of the celebratory activities.
